The translation of a recently published posting on Instagram signed by ousmane_mareg_the_ki reads:

  ” #Important clarification /  Rumors are circulating that the new 50 MRU banknote is fake.
The reality:
✔️ This is an official banknote issued by the Central Bank of Mauritania.
✔️ This is the fifth variant of the banknote featuring the latest micro-optical technology.
✔️ Entry into circulation: July 22, 2025.”

The posting refers tooth’s as the fifth variety of the same note, with additional security features.

It is not clear as to which is the fourth variety, as there already there were three more originally issued.
