The Maldives Monetary Authority announced the release on 1 April 2026 of 10 rufiyaa banknotes with the new symbol for the Maldivian rufiya.

This note is dated July 31, 2025. Previous ones of the same denomination issued in 2015 and 2018 did not have the new symbol.

Old and new nots will co-circulate.
