So, the 100 ariary note is called “clou”, the 200 ariary note “kala ray,” the 1,000 ariary “gala” and the 10,000 ariary “maizina” or “Tim.”
In the article they wonder about what is going to be the nickname for the new 20,000 ariary note. They say that there is not yet consensus, but it will happen…
