Central Bank of Libya introduces new LD 5, 10 and 20 denominations

The Central Bank of Libya announced yesterday that it will issue soon a new polymer banknotes of 20 dinars (LYD20.5.)

The announcement includes also pictures of a polymer note of 5 dinars which seems to be similar to the one issued in 2021 (LYD5.10); and a paper note of 10 dinars similar to the one issued in 2015 (LYD10.9.) This banknote is to be issued on 26 January 2025. The ones of 5 and 20 are expected at a later date.

All these notes carry the signature of  Naji Issa, the new Central Bank Governor.
