The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakstan decided to keep redeeming the 2006 banknotes of 1,000 (KZT1,000.4), 2,000 (KZT2,000.3), 5,000 (KZT5,000.4) and 10,000 tenge (KZT10,000.1) ) without time limit.

In future the timeline for withdrawal of banknotes from circulation will be:

   1. Co-circulation of older and new notes for one year,

   2. Redemption at commercial banks for three years, and

   3. Redemption at the branches of the National Bank without time limit.
