The Press Service of the National Bank of Kazakhstan announced today that a new banknote of 10,000 tenge (KZT10,000.6) of the Saki family will be put in circulation on 28 June 2024. These notes will be in mass circulation in September, to give time for its distribution to all regions of the country, and calibration of testing and counting machines.
The main motif in front and back is the leopard.
Previous notes will cocirculate until 28 June 2026. Banks and KazPost offices will exchange them until 28 June 2029. After that date these may be redeemed at th National Bank without time limit.
