Nursultan Nazarbayev, president of Kazakhstan, banned by decree the use of other languages in current coins and banknotes. The decree was published today in the government website.

An exception for the use of other languages was made for numismatic products intended for sale in other markets.

Presently Russian is used in the back of current banknotes.
