Mustafe Mukhrif, Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, has announced today that the bank plans to issue a new banknote of 20,000 dinars (IQD20,000). Its design will be revealed in the coming days.
He said that the bank has worked on this denomination based on its research on neighboring countries.
