The Reserve Bank of India instructed all financial institution to exchange without any formality up to 10 withdrawn 2,000 rupees notes (INR2,000.1).
These notes remain current until 30 September 2023 when they will end their legal tender status and become worthless.
Banks do accept them for deposit at client accounts, with the usual limitations.
