The Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea announced on 13 May that it has issued on May 14 an improved banknote of 10.000 francs (GNF10,000.4B.)
Its design is similar to the ones from 2018, but it is printed on a stronger substrate.
These are some of the features of the new note:
- Portrait and electrotype watermarks,
- Color changing Pulsar™ security strip imbedded in the substrate,
- A dove printed with color changing SparLive® ink in front,
- Microlettering, and
- High relief marks to help the persons with reduced or no vision.
Older notes of 10,000 francs dated 2018 (GNF10,000.4A) continue to circulate.
