The Czech National Bank has issued today 25 October 2023 an improved banknote of 5,000 koruna (CZK5,000.1D).

It is dated 2023 and is exactly similar to the 2009 version, except that it has covert security features not visible to the naked eye, made possible by the new equipment used by the State Printing Office.

The previous notes of 1999 (CZK5,000.1B) and 2009 (CZK5,000.1C) continue to be in circulation, and are withdrawn when they become unfit.
