Effective 31 March 2025 the new ISO 4217 code for the Caribbean guilder will be XCG. It replaces the ANG code which applied to the Netherlands Antilles.

After the new banknotes expressed in Caribbean guilders are issued, the old ones expressed in Netherlands Antillean guilders will co-circulate for three months. Then they can be exchanged via commercial banks until 31 March 2026. After this date the Centrale Bank will redeem them until 31 March 2055.
