The Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Martin announced that the new Caribbean guilder banknotes will be introduced on 31 March 2025, and not in mid-2024 as it was previously indicated.

The new notes are already in the production process by Crane.

Richard Dornboosch, President of the Central Bank of Curaçao and St. Martin, indicated that the project of dollarization is still alive, and that it may take some 4 years to study and execute it.
