According to several sources the Banco Central de Cuba will issue more large denomination banknotes. Presently there are long lines at ATM’s which are not well supplied with large banknotes.

Currently the largest denomination in circulation is the note of 1,000 pesos (CUP1,000.1). It is not clear whether more of the current large notes will be printed, or larger ones will be created.
