Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam has announced that effective 2 November 2020 banknotes of 10,000 dollars (BND10,000.1/.2) will no longer be released to commercial banks. Those entering the banking system will be withdrawn from circulation.

The banknotes retain their legal tender status.

The withdrawal measure was taken in the scope of the Anti Money Laundering campaign.
