Pablo Ramos, Governor of the Banco Central de Bolivia, announced that new banknotes of 10 bolivianos (BOB10.2), the first of the new family, will be issued in April. Those of 20 bolivianos (BOB20.2) will follow 3 months later.

The new notes will co-circulate with the current ones.
