The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has announced today that it will issue on 1st January 2021 new banknotes of 1 manat (AZN1.3), 5 manat (AZN5.3) and 50 manat (AZN50.2).

The design of the new notes will use the motifs of the current ones, but using a vertical format.

Advanced technologies will be used to fight counterfeiting, and to make them user friendly for people with impaired eyesight.
