The Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia has decided to withdraw from circulation effective 15 April 2026 the following banknotes:

500 drams 1999 (AMD500.2)

1,000 drams 1999-2001 (AMD1,000.2)

1,000 drams 2011-15 (AMD1,000.3)

5,000 drams 1999  (AMD5,000.2)

5,000 drams 2003-09  (AMD5,000.3)

5,000 drams 2012  (AMD5,000.4)

10,000 drams 2003-08 (AMD10,000.5)

10,000 drams 2012 (AMD10,000.6)

20,000 drams 1999 (AMD20,000.1)

20,000 drams 2007-09  (AMD20,000.2)

20,000 drams 2012  (AMD20,000.3)

After 15 April 2026 these are redeemable without time limit at commercial banks, as well as the Central Bank.
