The Central Bank has started yesterday to ship to commercial banks the new banknotes of 2,000 pesos (ARS2,000.1), printed by S.E. Casa de Moneda in Buenos Aires.

Their circulation will start before the end of the month, as soon as ATM’s and other banknote counting and handling equipment can be refitted.

They honor Science and Medicine, showing Drs. Cecilia Grierson and Ramón Carrillo, with the Instituto Nacional de Microbiología Dr. Carlos Malbrán en the back.
