Banco Central de la República Argentina confirmed yesterday that it will issue soon new banknotes of 10,000 pesos (ARS10,000.1) and 20,000 pesos (ARS20,000.1).
The notes of 10,000 pesos (ARS10,000.1) will use the design originally approved last year for those of 500 pesos, which honored Manuel Belgrano and Dolores del Valle.
Those of 20,000 pesos (ARS20,000.2) will show statesman Juan Bautista Alberdi, who inspired the Constitution of 1853.
These notes will be printed on cotton paper substrate.
Both notes are expected to be issued around June.
