Miguel Angel Pesce, President of the Banco Central de la República Argentina announced that the banknote of 1,000 pesos of the new family (ARS1,000.2) will be issued on or before 15 July 2023. He also declared that the proposed note of 5,000 pesos (ARS5,000.1) may be issued in 2024.

It has been also commented that larger denominations are being studied, but this is being left to the next government, after the Elections in December 2023.
