The Banco Central de la República Argentina announced yesterday that it will issue in about two months the new banknotes of 200 pesos of the new family (ARS200.2).

This note honors General Martín Miguel de Güemes and Juana Azurduy,  two of the patriots who fought the War of Independence against Spain in the first part of the 19th Century.

The family of notes also include the denominations of 100 and 500 pesos not yet issued, and one of 1,000 pesos already issued this month.
