It has been confirmed that the issue of new banknotes of 5,000 pesos (ARS5,000.1) or 10,000 pesos (ARS10,000.1) is being discussed by the Government. 

During 2022 the Banco Central de la República Argentina issued 1,419 million banknotes of 1,000 pesos (ARS1,000.1), which represents 75% of total circulation.
