The webpage 263.chat.com reports that many businesses still quote their prices in U.S. dollars, in spite of the recent government decision to outlaw the use of foreign currencies.

The mass of local “bond” dollars in circulation is woefully small, creating a vacuum that must be filled; thus the need to supplement it with foreign banknotes and coins, mostly U.S. dollars and South African rands.
