The largest banknote in circulation is worth only 7 U.S. dollar cents at the current informal rate of exchange. There are calls for the issue of larger denominations. Some call for the printing of new notes of 100,000 bolívares, which will probably be worth less than ten U.S. dollar cents by the time they arrive to Venezuela.
