The Central Bank of eSwatini has issued on 11 January the banknotes of 10 (SZL10.8), 20 (SZL20.9), 50 (SZL50.4) and 200 emalangeni (SZL200.5) bearing “Central Bank of eSwatini” to reflect  its new name. Those of 100 emalangeni (SZL100.6) were issued in September of 2020.

The new notes of 10 emalageni will be the first to enter circulation, as stocks of old ones are exhausted. Other denominations will enter circulation gradually..
