Mongolbank, the Central Bank of Mongolia has announced today that it will issue next Monday improved banknotes of 20,000 tugruk (MNT20,000.3), and 50 tugruk (MNT50.2).

The new banknotes are of a design similar to the current ones, but have improved security devices and marks to help recognition by people of impaired vision.

The current notes of 20,000 tugruk (MNT20,000.1 and MNT20,000.2) will cease to be legal tender on 28 February, and will be redeemable for two years.
